Photograph Makeup

Hi there,

I would like to now if you should have your makeup professionally done for wedding pictures?

Some say that regular everyday makeup is not camera friendly.

Any information on this would be great.

Thanks in advance

I think it really dont make a big diffrent, my friend is a photo tech. And he told me that you would want to put on your make up heavier then normal so that the make up gets picked up from the photos. I also think it depends where you get them developed from. If you have a clear image.
Hope i could of helped in some ways....

I work as a makeup artist, and I would suggest having your makeup done professionally, just because there is a certain way that you need to apply it for camera. If you can`t afford to have it done, then make sure you just put it on a little heavier than usual, and make sure that your foundation is 2 shades warmer than your skin tone or you will end up looking like you have a very white face on film, unless of course you already have a dark complexion. Also, stay away from frosty lipsticks. If you end up having it done professionally, I would recommend MAC cosmetics.
