Is It Too Late For An Engagement Party????

My fiancé and I got engaged last March and our wedding is 7/7/07. We planned our parents to meet in February 2007 and we are making this our engagement party. Is there a too late rule for having an engagement party????

We got engaged in Septemeber and my sister is planning a engagement party for us in March. I was wondering the same thing. But I don`t think there is a specific rule. As long as you feel comfortable with it, I say go for it!
