I am totally with you. I had that magazine and now I cant find it. I LOVE the cupcake idea and have been searching on the web for the last two nights for it and cant find a picture like it. My only thought was to print the picture out and take it to the bakery and find out what I need! Please let me know if you found anything!

I saw the Martha Stewart wedding book at Books A Million, the cupcake wedding cake was on the front of the book. It has the info you need inside.

I have the magazine and I cut out a pic for my cake and gave it to my baker then his office caught on fire so if anyone has the pic with purple flowers on the same page as the signed wedding shoes let me know .... But I have the cupcake info!!

Otherwise you can rent those stands from AtoZ rentall! They are like $20 dollars!

If you need to find wedding books or magazines, may I suggest your local library? Wedding books and magazines are expensive, and checking them out is free. You can photocopy pictures or articles, and if you need the book for a long time, you can always renew it.

We were thinking of getting donuts from Krispy kreme, just the jelly ball type, all covered in powdered sugar and doing something similar.

Has anyone ever made the cake stand and how do you do it??

The easiest thing to do is to buy the stand. It was featured in June`s Good Housekeeping.

You could make one out of upside down flowerpots and large saucers (very cheap!). First you`ll need one medium flowerpot and one smaller flowerpot and one large saucer and one medium saucer. Paint all of them white, silver or whatever. Now turn the medium flowerpot upside down and glue (use a heavy duty apoxy so it won`t come undone)the right side up saucer onto the bottom. Now turn the smaller flowerpot upside down and glue it to the saucer. Last glue the medium size saucer to the smaller flowerpot. When you`re purchasing the flowerpots, make sure the base flowerpot is wide enough to support the weight (I think 6 inch diameter would be good). I had this cake, but we just had the stacking portions be clay, terra cotta pots. I had a fall wedding, and it was perfect!
