Limiting Guests

I would really like to cut back on guests because I would rather have a smaller elegant wedding than a large cheap one. However, I have a huge family. I have 6 uncles, 2 aunts, and 30 cousins on my mom`s side alone. Then I still have my dad`s side and both of my parents are remarried so I have all of their families. HELP! Any idea who to cut out, and how to do it without hurting peoples feelings??

You`ll have to start with the process of elimination...Who do you see the most, who keeps in touch with you or your parents, who did you turn to when something was wrong, etc. Unfortunately, we think about people`s feelings if we don`t invite them, but if they have been through this recenty, then they should be able to understand how expensive it is to put on a function such as this one.

Try inviting Immediate Members only to the Wedding but Inviting Everyone to the reception. You could try Videotaping the Wedding & having it available during the reception.
Hope This Helps
