September Wedding

I am getting married on September 27, 2003. I am trying to decide on a color and theme. It`s no longer summer, but it`s not really autumn yet. Any suggestions?

I think it just depends on what you want.. Any color will do . Like for me for a example i have light pink and im getting married in Aug. Its NOT a aug color at all ... I think of of bright and vibriant colors but i didnt want my girls to look like parrots!!
Persoannly if you want a sept color, the color comes to my mind is red or a cranberry.
Hope i could of helped in someways.

Yes I agree a Red or Cranberry color would work in September. You could spice them up with a gold or silver...

Hi. Well we almost have the same date. I am getting married on the 20th of September. When I was picking out my dress, I had the same question. I do agree with the other two replies though, but I went with a dark lavender color. It really just depends what you want and how well they go with your wedding dress. It just so happens I have very small dark lavender beads on my wedding dress...

I am also getting married on Sept. 20th, 03. I choose my favorite color (hunter green) as the main color. Then I added Red, Orange, Yellow and Gold as accent colors. I believe you should just choose your favorite color and work from there....it is your day, so it really shouldn`t matter if the colors you choose are appropriate for the month. Hope everything goes well for you! Congratulations and good luck!

I am getting married in March of 2004 and even though I am not that far into my planning I think I want wine or a deep burgendy for my bridesmaid`s dresses. I know that`s not a "March color" but I don`t care. Go with whatever makes you happy.

I am having my wedding in Oct and i decided not to go with a color to match the scenery ....instead I decided to go with a color I liked which was lilac. I am only planning on being outside for about 15-20 minutes and my dress and my girls once we get inside no one will know what month or time of year it is and the girls have liked the idea as well cuase the dresses aren`t so big being a spring/ summer style dress....
Hope it helps

I am getting married September 6, 2003 and I am gong with a deep purple with gold accents and I am getting so many compliments over it. I would highly recomend it for an October or September wedding. But most of all go with what makes you happy!

We`re due for Sept. 14 at 5:00. I was wondering about that too- so I just decided to do everything in shades of white and Ivory. My dress is ivory so I have a little more ivory than white in the decorations- the girls dresses are actually beige with a funky ivory mini swirl pattern all over. The flowers are cream and white roses without foliage. It`s kind of a bland pallate but the wedding is in a very pretty park and I am hoping it will feel more like a wedding because of the colors. (or lack thereof)

Good luck & don`t worry to much about it, just do what appeals to you. (and looks good on your bridesmaids :)

My wedding date is set for September 18th, 2004 and we started planning right away when we got engaged (April 17, 2003) to ensure we had first pick on everything. I`ve been hmm-ing and haa-ing over colors as well. A lot of people do pick colors that go with the time of year they are getting married in. I thought of doing that, but I`m not big on the coppers and dark reds and burgandys that go along with a September wedding so I said forget it, I`ll pick whatever colour I want. I haven`t 100% decided yet, cuz we haven`t gone shopping for dresses yet, but I`m thinking along the lines of a periwinkle blue, a light purple or maybe a light green. I`ve seen a lot of periwinkle blue satin and think it is beautiful and would look great with silver accents. My advice is don`t stress on picking a colour that`s `in season` at the moment, go with something you like. It`s your wedding, go with what you like and what you are happy with, don`t go with a fall colour just cuz it`s fall. Good luck to you! :)

Deep purple or eggplant with rum pink if beautiful. I am getting married in September with these colors and everyone I know just loves it. But please just go with what makes you happy it is just a suggestion.

I am getting married in the afternoon with an evening reception. So thease colors are not to brite or to dark for the time of the day or any day in September. I think that light colors are to bright in September so as I was saying eggplant with rum pink or even navy blue with gold is beautiful. HI, I`m also having my wedding in september. I never really thought about the time of year when i had picked my colors. I`ve picked a dark red/burgundy color for my flowers and a very dark purlple. My cake will be cream with the real flowers on it. I have my gals ( brides maids) in a cream dress. It`ll be an outside wedding (i pray no rain) so i`ll have the greens of the trees and bushes. So i hope that gives you a few ideas on your colors, and good luck !

I too am getting married on sept 18, 2004 i am wearing a white wedding dress ( i had always wanted a white gown with a long train) so to me it really didn`t matter about the time of year....as for my girls they are wearing royal blue dresses. I believe it dosen`t really matter what you wear as long as you and your groom are happy with the plans because remember its our day to do whatever it is we want to do.....so i say just enjoy everything about it, its the biggest day of our lives.....kate

My wedding is on Sept. 27, 2003 too! I just chose the color I liked best and what would go well with it. I wanted deep purple and silver, but my fiancee`s cousin had that color for his wedding 2 years ago. So, we`re going with NAVY BLUE & SILVER. It doesn`t need to go with the season. It`s your wedding--your rules. :-) Just have fun.

I am getting married outside October 18th. My wedding dress is white and my bridesmaide dresses are a deep red. I am planning to use sunset colors as my theme, you know, red, copper, yellow, and orange. I plan to use roses and sunflowers. I am praying that it doesn`t rain!

Hello! I`m getting married September 4, 2004 (and have not yet chosen the bridesmaids dresses yet) but I think darker colors are good for that time of year. Some suggestions would be gun metal grey, eggplant, navy, etc. Etc.- but I do agree with everyone who says to pick what makes you happiest, so if you choose platinum or champagne- all the power to you! Good luck; hope I was helpful!

I was struggling with a September color theme, and I cam up with a sunset. I am using gold & champagne pink, and then having accents of burgundy, darker pink, and a subdued orange. They play with an autumn theme, but at the same time, remind me of summer sunsets. Hope this helps...just remember it`s up to you what will make u happy.

Hi my wedding is also Sept 27th 2003! My dress is ivory and my bridesmaids are in light silver, I am however using fall wildflowers and pumpkins and my reception is in a barn. Pick a color your bridesmaids would look GOOD in, i like harvest gold or red, but it`s another thing to WEAR harvest gold or red ( harsh on some skin tones) . Pick a color they can wear again.
