Hello,
I made 250 covers and for my son and daughter-in-laws wedding last Oct. I went to Walmart and shopped in the $1.00 clearance aisle for the material. You need polyester for less wrinkles. I brough 1 chair home from the hall and measured it, as all charis are different. I bought satin for the sashes and used a rotary zig-zag cutting wheel to cut them, as satin tend to snag when you try to sew it. When they are cut with a zig-zag they don`t unravvel. I cut 1 piece for the skirt ,and 1 seat. I cut the back on a fold to save sewing the seam across the back. Once you get the measurement and figure out how they go it isn`t so bad. I was off work on Mondays and I usually could get 10-12 done in 5 hours. I just got really sick of white material. The covers were a hit, I had sooo many compliments!!! The happiest of all was the bride, and that is what made it all worth it. Now I am renting them out at the hall where the reception was held and it is working out great.
Good luck with yours.
