Name Order

Is there a proper order to how our family`s first names should be listed on a card? For example I`m sending a gift and on the card I always list my first name, then the oldest child to the youngest child, then my husbands first name. There is no last name on the card because the receipient knows us personally. My husband says that the order should be my first name, his first name then the children. Who is right?
