A Total Scam
I received a call last night from Jessica, extention 6311, for a prize that I had won through 21st Century Today`s Bride. I decided to check up on the company before I took any action. I`m glad I did. I read all of these testimonies on many websites and took notes. When I called the company this afternoon, the woman was very sweet and helpful. She told me everything I expected to hear: my fiance and I had registered as engaged on some website (that`s how they got our name.) They told me that we were selected as winners of a 3 day, 2 night hotel reservation in 15 various locations at any Ramadda, Marriot, or Holiday Inn. The prize was good for 18 months. In addition, we would received a $500 gift certificate for the use of their companies for jewelry, cameras, etc. Also, we were receive a 40% discount on their Product Line, including Royal Prestige. All we had to do was come to a product and display preview. My blood started to boil since all of these things were contributors to much pain and strife for many couples. I declined and told the woman that I knew it was a scam. I told her that I read on consumer reports that they are a bad business to work with, and that their business people pressure their clients into buying overpriced cookware. She had nothing to say. Choked on her words. And then she hung up on me. Any company that has the audacity to mess with newly weds and engaged couples is just so horrible. As if we don`t have enough financial difficulty already, they have to scam us. Thanks for everyone who posted beforehand. You saved my fiance and I a lot of money, time, and trouble.
