The Depo Shot

I agree with everyone in some ways about this topic. I think before we as women make a decision about how to use birth control we need to be well informed about all of our options. I happen to enjoy having no periods. I also enjoy only having to deal with taking birth control every three months. I am one of those people who cant remember to take a pill without mistake every single day. I conceived my daughter on the pill through no fault but my own. I have also been battling my weight ever since I can remember. I have been thin and lean and pleasently plump throughout my whole life so Im not sure if the shot has caused me any weight gain or if I just lack simple self control. I really truly understand all of the concerns that come along with the conveneince of using this drug but I would like to have another child someday as well. I am a nursing student and I havnt heard of any test you can do to specifically see if the shot has caused any problems but I would imagine with regular check ups with a Gynecologist and your doctor would help lessen the chances that something could be brewing.
