Income Tax Theme

My fiance just told me that he`d REALLY like the theme of our wedding to be income taxes! Eek!! What do I tell him? Yes, he`s an accountant so it`s a perfect idea ... But .... Does anyone have any ideas about how to do this theme? He said it would be cool if it doesn`t work out, but he`s always been so wonderful to me, I don`t want to say no.

ANY suggestions GREATLY sppreciated!!

Thanks so much!! =)

If you would like some help would be glad to offer my services to you. You can start off by having the invitations made as an audit letter. I can show you samples of other invitations and themes that went around your theme

Wow Diane, thanks for replying. But I guess I was hoping to get some actual ideas about what I`d possibly expect to see so I could think about them and then decide if I`m cool with them or not. But thanks again for replying =)

Please don`t take this the wrong way, I understand that he has been very good to you and you want to make him happy, plus it is awesome that he wants to be involved in the planning process, but please think about what I have to say before doing this....

First off, a wedding is suppose to be a romantic moment in time between a couple where they become one. A lot of time and money will go into this and are you ready to invest the money in silly income tax decorations? This is a time to make things beautiful because your love is beautiful. I`ve pondered over a way to incorporate the tax theme and still make it nice but I`ve come up with nothing. That doesn`t mean it is impossible, but I see a lot of heartache over what to do in the future. Plus you may resent him during the process as it becomes difficult to work the details out and that is no way to start your life together.

Try this approach instead, have a group bachelor/bachelorette party or rehersal party that goes with this theme. It would be much more appropriate during this time then during the actual wedding or reception...also you`ll have the beautiful wedding you`ve always wanted and he will feel like a part of him is involved also. Let him plan it with you and come up with cool ideas together.

If your afraid of hurting his feelings by telling him that you would rather not use this theme for the wedding, but instead for something else, show him your post on this bored...at least he will know that you cared enough about making him happy that you sought ideas from everyone.

I hope this helps...regardless of the decorations...good luck!!!

Thanks for your honest ideas, Mandy. I guess that you are right - even my posting signature was trying to tell me that I really didn`t want that for a wedding theme!! But for one of the parties before the big day, he can`t complain about a compromise like that. What a great idea .... Thanks!!

Hi, Taxed.
What if you incorporated a casino theme into your reception, where your guests could play casino games with play money?
If that is too risque, perhaps you could you a math theme, instead. Would love to help.
