Depo

I am only 18 and on the depo and was put on the depo by my mom origanaly because i was suffering from heavy periods and really bad cramps. The side effects of it are awful. I went on the depo weighing only 95 lbs. (i know i`m really small) and now i weight about 120lbs. Which means i gained about 25 pounds and i`ve only been on it for 2 years. I`ve been struggling with acne for about a year now, and have never had acne before, not once through high school. I`ve been struggling with headaches, chest pains, and stomach pains. And was told by my neurologist that all of these can be side affects of the depo shot. And when i found out that my mitro valve prolapse (which is a common heart disease) and migranes both are related to the depo shot is when i got my mom to finally take me off it.

My adivice is don`t get the shot, i would have picked the cramps and periods any day over everything else i had to go through with the depo.
