Dress Viewing

My dress that I ordered has just arrived at the store. They said I need to call to schedule a "veiwing." I know I need to check the basics, but is there a list out there anywhere of all the things I need to check (size, color, beads, seams, etc.) before paying the balance and bringing it home? Any help would be appreciated.
