Cardboard 45 Records
I am looking to purchase about 70-75 cardboard 45 records for our company 50`s party.
Any suggestions. The 45 plastic records costs too much.

Are these going to be hung like a mobile?

Where are you? Are you in California: In Hollywood, Los Angeles / LA, the Valley, or Ventura? I know of a mobile dj who is into alot of collector items and retro stuff. He`s a friend of mine and he does some digital photography too where he actually used a lot of old 45 records and vinyl! He may still have them or be able to direct you or help you make some.
Does it matter what kind of music is on the records, cuz hes a disc jockey who spins and mixes alot of different music and variety. Most of the records he would have would either be classic`s or maybe even techno. Styles like breaks, breakbeat, funky house, downtempo, jungle and drum & bass, and even some hip hop, ya know club music services. He may even have invented a new style by now...he was talkin about BassFunk music a while back.
If you need a some records though, the only way I can think of for you to contact him or get ahold of the records is through www.allyoucanbeat.net, but I`m sure his phone number and email are on there somewhere.
What kind of event are you planning and decorating? Is it a wedding, party, corporate event, dance, club? It seems like a really cool idea! I really hope you can get the records your seeking : )

I want to thank everyone who sent me ideas. This is for a corporate event. However, on eBay I was able to purchase actual 45 records for hardly any cost..
