Cookbook Wedding Favors

I once read about someone giving out cookbooks as wedding favors. This was a compilation of recipes from all of the guests, sent in with their responses to the wedding invitation, and were meant to both be a symbol of the two families being joined through the wedding and a nice and useful reminder of the wedding. I love to cook, and my fiance loves food, so this seems like a wonderful idea for us; however, we are far from wealthy. Has anyone done anything like this? Is there an inexpensive way to put together recipe books that still look classy?

I have also thought about just giving one copy to each nuclear family that is invited, since I doubt each family member needs a copy. This would be in addition to a small favor per person. Does this sound alright, or will it come across as cheap on our part?

A third and final idea following this recipe theme is to have them as computer-accessible, either posting them on a website or putting them onto discs for guests. I`m not sure how well this would go over, as not everyone has a computer, but everyone who comes knows someone with a computer, so it should not be too hard for them to access and print up recipes they are interested in. How does this idea sound?

I am just trying to get ideas from others, as I want this to be as classy as possible while still coming in under-budget.
