I’m just a little money tree
With lots of branches, bare as can be!
But you can make my branches bloom
With good things for the bride and groom!

Please take your gift and give me leaves
To make my branches full and green!
For the newlyweds I’ll be a blessing
I`ll give them all their nest is missing!

What does your money tree look like. I am needing to make one but am clueless as to were to start. Did you use a tree, plant or what??

We used a wishing well at a second wedding for an older couple. Because they already both had houses and did not need the usual gifts, we provided envelopes and cards for guests to write their wishes and include a monetary gift. This was then presented to the couple as they left to use on their honeymoon or to purchase something that they did need or want.
It worked really well.

I am interested in the poem for the wishing well.

I have finally set date to marry my long time engaged fiance. We have everything after living together 10 yrs. How can you nicely ask for monetary donations! Any ideas......

How is a money tree made---sounds like a nice idea

I need some poems for a wishing well. Can anyone help me A.S.A.P

I am getting married and need a poem for a money tree.We wish to put this in with the invitations.
Has anyone have any ideas

Ellissa, It`s fine that you want to have a money tree,but it is in very poor taste to include that in your invitation. Word will get around that you would rather have a monetary gift, family members talk to other family members and the same with friends. You know, grandma ask what you would like to have or need, then that spreads to Aunt Alice . One co-worker tells another "they would rather have cash instead of gifts" and from that person to another. So word will get around,everyone always ask. So as not to have your beautiful day ruined from something that is tacking, I would just let the family and friends spread the word.

On wedding invitations it is perfectly acceptable to put, "Money tree available in lieu of gifts." If the guests know the couple has been together for a long time and have established a residence together, they are at a loss of what to give as a gift. A money tree is the perfect solution and quite acceptable at weddings, anniversaries, etc.

Please stop saying it is in poor taste for the bride and groom to ask for money. It`s not! I hope these help.

More than just kisses so far we`ve shared,
Our home has been made with Love and Care,
Most things we need we`ve already got,
And in our home we can`t fit a lot!
A wishing well we thought would be great,
(But only if you wish to participate),
A gift of money is placed in the well,
Then make a wish .... But shhh don`t tell!
Once we`ve replaced the old with the new,
We can look back and say it was thanks to you!

They have their dishes and towels for two
They have pots and pans and oven mitts too
So what do you get for the Bride & Groom
Whose house is setup in every room?
Their house needs repairs and some upgrades too
But you can not register for carpet and glue.
A well that holds wishes is the way to go
So lets make it easy for all that know.
An envelope will be provided for those who have room,
To give a monetary wish to the Bride and Groom
A wishing well will be on display at the reception hall
To attach your wishes, for the couple, with love from all.

To save you looking, shopping or buying.
Here is an idea, we hope you like trying.
Come to our wedding, to wish us both well.
And bring this small sack, to throw in our wishing well.
Fill it with paper all colors will do, gold is our favorite but silver will do.
Now that we have saved you, all of that fuss.
We hope you will come, and celebrate with us

Having 50th anniversary party for parents. Need to know how to make a money tree.

I have just completed a money tree for the reception of my best friends wedding. I used a real Palm tree and since the sheme is the color of fushia and also hearts, I added silk cherry blossosm, and also fushia silk flowers at the base of the container that I wrapped in silver foil, and added hearts all over and then sprayed with clear gloss to adhere to foil. I added hearts to all of the leaves of the palm tree, and cut out a heart and put a little wedding dress and tuxedo, then added the bride and grooms face cut of a photo.It is about to be completed, if you would like a photo, e-mail me at Katahela@yahoo.com
