Butterfly Wedding Theme..Help!

Hi, I am also planning a butterfly theme wedding, but mine is June 2005. I have found a ton of butterfly ideas, if you would like to email me me i can give you the addresses to the web sites.

I recently saw a website for you that may be perfect! There is a company that sells real butterflies in individual little cases. They can be released when you are leaving the church instead of say, rice. Or even if people wouldn`t be scared of them, make centerpieces of flowers that they are attracted to and release them in the reception hall..I think it would be incredible. Every one would remember that!!!! They sell them in small little white boxes and ship them to you overnight. They breed butterflies so you can tell them what kinds you want. You buy them by the dozen. It`s a little pricey, last time I was on the web site it was like 75 dollars a dozen, but you wouldn`t need many. I`m considering this for my wedding, I`m just going to plan my wedding and then if I have any extra money I`m going to get as many as possible. Even if you can only get 1 dozen, you could have the wedding party release them as you leave and have everyone else blow bubbles, simply beautiful! Hi Erica, I too am planning a butterfly themed wedding. I have planned this around my engagement ring, the stones are set in a butterfly shape. To go with the theme I bought bubbles with butterflies on theme. I purchased these at Michaels. I also am decorating the trelis with flowers & butterflies. I made my center pieces, and everyone complemented me on them,,,, I got a small glass globe from Wal-mart (they cost me $.50 ea) I put white sand and I got some gold and silver sand from a craft store, and I got some Gold and silver Butterflies and Dragonfies rubins at Michaels, , got white flower rings and I did put votive candles in the globe, they really look great and they did not cost me more then $5.00 a piece.

I only found 1 but they offer free shipping & so far everything I purchased from them has been great. I always thought that getting small white or silver butterflies embroidered on the bridal veil would look very pretty. Also, you can buy very small butterflies at Michaels or other craft stores and attach them to wire and ask your florist to incorporate them into your bouquets. Another idea is go to a rubber stamp store or scrapbooking store and buy a small butterfly punch. You can put small die cuts of butterflies onto your placecards, thank you cards, invitations, menus, etc. Etc. If you want a real elegant look, try looking at tone on tone butterfly motifs (on your white tablecloth or napkins, use white embroidered butterflies...on your cake use white butterflies on white frosting). Tone on tone gives the illusion of an embossed or engraved look instead of hitting you over the head with the butterfly theme.

I am also planning a june butterfly themed wedding and I have foungd alot of ideas just from doing an advanced search on google. Some are taky but take form the idea and do it your self. A great idea I have thought of is instead of having flower girls have flower fairies. When I think of butterlfies I think of pixies and fairies (also part of my theme). Put apliques of butterflies on your vail, or if your dress is being made put them on the dress. I am Native American and my grandmother told me that if you catch (or have in this case) a butterfly to wisper a wish in its ear and let it go.

I am also having a Butterfly themed weddding. Mine will be in Las Vegas March 13,2004. A hotel chapel for the ceremony and the reception will be held at one of the hotel`s restaurants. Most of what I have found so far is pretty much all the same and not really what I am looking for. Any help at all will be greatly appreciated as I work full time and am also a full time student.
