Shower Venue In Nyc--Any Ideas?

I`m throwing a shower for a friend. All of her close friends live in NYC, in NYC style apartments (translation-small). Her parents` house is far away in the suburbs. Anyone know of any places in Manhatten that is not expensive or better yet, free-that we can have a wedding shower at? the shower will be in early May.
