Bargain-Bride.com

For those considering ordering a gown from Bargain Bride.com, my experience has been that the gown we ordered is nicely made and of beautiful fabric. It`s not an exact duplicate of the gown we had in mind, but it`s inspired and lovely. My only complaint is that I ordered a veil to be trimmed with matching lace and it does not match -- the color is not the same and the lace is not the same. Bargain Bride will not take it back, despite the fact that I specifically requested that it match. So I guess my advice would be that you do take your chances -- and don`t order a veil if you expect it to match!

A bit snooty, don`t you think? We can`t all afford designer gowns, and my daughter is thrilled with her dress that was inspired by a dress she liked but couldn`t work into our budget. Happily, we don`t find it at all distasteful to compromise when necessary. The dress is lovely.

The above vendor more than likely has a retail bridal shop . They get upset that brides have other options to save on their gown because they pay BIG BUCKS to have the designer gowns in their shops. And they have a very high overhead.

So when they have paid multiple thousands of dollars to just be able to have sample gowns in their shop , and to just carry the name-- they get a little bent out of shape when other people can come along and make a near exact gown for MUCH LOWER than the price they even pay wholesale -- and the gown is as good if not better quality than the original designer gown.

Because we do not mass produce the gowns down an assembly line in china like 90% of the designer gowns.

Some girls have the budget for a $2000, $10,000 wedding gown and thats great. But each girl should be able to have her dream gown , and if having it custom made is her way of getting that gown there is nothing "yuck" about it. And it shouldnt be knocked.

With as rude as the girls as saying they get treated by bridal shop owners and employees -- the trend is shifting from the traditional way to purchase a wedding gown.

And not all bridal shops have such a negative attitude about custom gowns --- i work with a few bridal shops who have seen this as a service they can add to their business to further accomidate their brides !

Hi,
I`m Karen. I won`t be back after this. . . Busy getting ready for my daughter`s wedding. I have no association with Bargain Bride. I`m a mother who works at home as a freelance writer in small town Iowa. I started out my posts explaining how I wasn`t perfectly happy with Bargain Bride because they wouldn`t take back the veil that I paid for but didn`t match. But because I at one time looked for info about them, I thought it might be helpful for others if I posted my positive experience with them as well. This is why I don`t usually post messages anyplace -- too many people looking for trouble!
