Deprovera Don`t Do It

I conceived our first child 3 years ago on our first try. I got deprovera shot in January and April 05` only. I had to take progesterone pills in Dec 05` to get my period back. Here we are now in Sept 06` and we`ve been trying to get pregnant since April with no luck. I`ve been using the ovulation predictor kit but it hasn`t helped. Any suggestion?

I believe the birth control shot you`re talking about is actually Depo-Provera. It lasts 3 months, but the big side effect to it is that it can last longer than that. I am an OB nurse, and you should really see your OB/GYN if you haven`t already. He will have the answers you need, and can assist you with getting your cycle back on track, and with getting pregnant if that`s what you desire. You don`t want to assume it`s the Depo-Provera shot that is still keeping you from getting pregnant, when it could actually be something else. That something else could be something that is easily remedied by your doctor, but you won`t know if you don`t go see him. Best wishes!
