Venetian Masquerade Ball Wedding
Looking for ideas for a venetian masquerade ball themed wedding. My dress is ivory/gold and my bridesmaids are wearing black. I am also using burgundy for a color. I am thinking of masks for favors. Really isn`t too much info for mask decorations. Thank you!!!

Thanks Ana. That website is pretty good and reasonable. I have not ordered yet, but the masks look nice. I also like the paper they offer for invitations. I am just wondering if I can get crafty and maybe embellish the paper with a gold outline paper or find a cool way to fold it or an overlay. I am not sure. Or I may just stick with my scrolls. I am not sure yet. Some Ideas for my scrolls are to get some aged parchment paper and tear the edges a bit, to get that rugged edged look. Then add some ribbon to the top corners, and people can hang it if they want. Then the old lettering and the Big first letter, like the way a storybook from disney begins. Then I would roll the scroll and wrap the ribbon around it on and angle and in the middle put a wax seal with my future last name initial or a rose. ?? Then when you break the seal to open it, you unwind the ribbon and it is a hanging scroll invitation. Just some ideas, but it is still just an idea. ?? I am not sure. Then I start to think of how to ship it , what about the reception card, directions to the reception and response card with envelope. I am not sure.

You can use the parchment and seal idea, but instead of rolling it fold it twice wit the upper fold meeting about 1/2 to 3/4 down. (I`d draw a picture if I could, but to look like an envelope). Seal it on the upper fold. On the side where no folds show put just names (Mr. And Mrs. John Smith and family) To use it like an inner envelope. You`ll retain all the romance without the trouble shipping it. You can also buy masks cheap through party suppliers like the Oriental Trading Company (they have nice mardi grass masks). Buy plain ones and do a simple paint job on them, glue rick-rack along the edge (or similar). You should be able to do this for about $1 per guest.
Sounds like a fun wedding!

I meant 1/2 to 1/4 down. (I was thinking 3/4 up which is way confusing)

I am planning a sweet 16 party with a Venetian theme. Do you have any ideas for decorations? The masks at the site below are amazing. I am definitely getting her mas custom made, but my budget is not too high, so any help with do-it yourself decorations would be great.
Thanks.

Take a look at our Marie Antoinette mood board for some decoration ideas. Although it`s obviously based on an interpretation of French artistocracy, there`s lot of Venetian influence .. And besides, it`s very pretty!

This my theme as well..... My dress is Ivoryand gold and I am not sure wheter or not the girls should wear balck or champagne w/ or w/out gloves not sure yet. The guys will be wearing black pin stripe suits. I am haing glass 15 oz mugs made for favors and I am putting gold black and pearl beads in them with a mask wrapped around them and sit them on the tables. I found mask for .25 a piece and they can even personalize them for you too... The beads I found for 55 bucks for 44 dozen. My mask will be gold and ivory found it already really really elegant. Any other ideas?

Hi, Lissandra, I`m not sure if you will get this message since you posted in 2009, but I was wondering where you found those masks for .25 a piece? They also personalized it, that`s a bargain. If anyone else knows of any great deals please let me know. Thank you.
