40th Birthday

My husband and I are trying to plan my 40th birthday party in our home. We are starting from scratch. It will be in Dec, outside for about 90 people. I need ideas for food, finger food, favors or anything that would help.
I am a causual type of person who has boys, loves the beach and dolphins.
