Depo

I`m only 20 years old and experiencing the most scary things in my life. I had pre-cervical cancer cells and they told me to come off depo incase I can`t have kids in the future. Right now is the time to start considering it before it`s too late. I was on the pill for 3-4 years before I started depo. But the idea of not having a period was too good to pass up. I was on it for over a year and never informed of any of the affects before I got the neddle inserted in me. Oh well. No more period who cares. All I was told when my doctor said to come off of it was, it could take up to six months before I could get pregnant.

Well It`s been over two and a half months since I came off of the shot and it`s been horrible. I have mood swings that would blow your mind! No sign of any period. Not even a spot. So I was like well I`ll wait it out and see what happens because I started PMSing again and figured it had to come out sometime. It didn`t. And I have been PMSing for the last month straight. I`m getting to the point where I can`t even deal with myself half of the time.

I called the doctors and they said don`t be surprised if it takes over a year before your period will come back again. Some people may think that`s awsome, but it`s not. I have no clue where and well it will come back. SO any feeling of anything I have to run to the bathroom constantly to check. I just never knew anything like this would happen.

The only one good thing that has come out of me getting off the shot was loosing all the weight that I had gained from it. Every time I got the shot I had gained atleast ten pounds. I`m glad that my matobolism was high enough to fight all the weight gain.

The moral of the story is, becareful on what you decided. You`re never told the whole story of some things and they like to keep it that way for a reason. SO please think carefully about this subject. Sure not getting your period is awsome. But you can do it while you`re on the pill too. All you have to do is not take your sugar pills and it`ll stop your period. It`s an option that I was told after the fact.
