Dessert Bar...
I am helping to plan a dessert bar for my sister`s wedding. We have about 14 different types of desserts as well as a meat and cheese tray, veggie tray and some seasonal fruits. We asked a friend who is a caterer how many desserts we should plan per person. He said three plus the wedding cake. I feel three is not enough....any insights? Most of the desserts are bite-size to a cookie...I would appreciate any responses. Beth

I am also having a dessert bar (coupled with my cake). It was suggested to me to also provide 3 peices per person. I chose to go with 4 despite the fact that 3 would probably be fine due to the fact that some people won`t have any at all (may be too busy drinking and dancing). So, its basically up to you (obviously). If you are having enough wedding cake for everyone then you definitely want to go with 3 (unless you aren`t having a full meal, then you may want to provide more). I`m providing a full meal and my wedding cake will be cut into about 100 bite size peices. So, I will have that plus the desserts. I`m having 160 people at my wedding. Let me know if i can offer any more advice! THanks and good luck.
