Feb. Wedding Cliche?
My fiance and I are planning on eloping in the end of Feb. Only because Jan. Didn`t give us enough time and March is by birthday so he didn`t want to do it then. Do you think other people will associate any date in Feb. As related to Valentines Day? We have always hated this holiday and have never celebrated such cliche boxed commercialized romance traditions. So it has nothing to do with being close to that date. In fact I wish it wasn`t. Do you think people would constantly ask about that? I would hate for the rest of our lives when we have an anniversary or someone asks when we got married to ask- oh cause of Valentines day? Never having been into it past the 2nd grade I wonder if others associate the entire month to that one date?

We are getting married in February as well but we are only selecting this month because it works well with my work schedule and his. I wouldn`t be worried about having your wedding be associated with a cheesy commercialized holiday. Besides, after Valentine`s day, stores have put away the chocolate hearts and have already started planning for Easter. As an added bonus, winter weddings cost a LOT less to have than the typical spring, summer and fall weddings. Also, flowers will be much cheaper after Valentine`s day than before. Stick with February if it works for you.
