Need A Place To Have Ceremony And Reception

We live in San Diego and that is where we are planning on having our wedding.

My husband and I are on a tight budget, we have been married for four years and would like to have a reception for a budget of $5000 or less

I too am planning a wedding in San Diego and there are options for an inexpensive but beautiful wedding. A beach wedding would be amazing and very inexpensive (fees are under $500 for most beaches) which leaves a significant amount of money for food, drinks and favors. There is also a location east of the 94 that is a farm with gorgeous gardens. The best part of this location is that all proceeds go to a the non-profit group that runs the location. The location is called Brookside Farms. I don`t know their pricing yet but can let you know when I find out. Also, the boats on the harbor are really inexpensive and I think it would fit in your budget to do a harbor excursion. Check out San Diego Harbor Excursions and the Bahia Hotel. One other thought - the parks in Balboa are great wedding venues. The Japanese Friendship Garden (3 hour minimum at $400 per hour) or the Rose Garden provide stunning backdrops for wedding photos. However, the airplane noise can be defeaning.

I am limiting my favors and hand making what I will give to wedding guests which will save me a lot. My budget is only $5000 so I really have to keep it in check. Let me know if you have any ideas for ways to save money. Two women who want beautiful memorable weddings can do amazing things with a few thousand dollars!
