Wedding Vow Renewal

My husband and I are planning to renew our vows for our 10 yr anniversary. We already have our colors and stuff picked out, but we`re a bit confused on the cake issue. Since we`re already married do we still save the top of the cake, as is tradition, or do we serve it when we serve the rest of the cake?
