Maid Of Honor

I live 15-16 hours away from my friend. I have the priviledge to be her maid of honor. However, she even purchased my dress as a gift. Her mom and future mother in law are throwing her a shower. I don`t get to fly out until the day of rehearsal.I feel like a real heel.I don`t know how to fulfill any of my duties this far away. Any advice would be so helpful.
