HELP!!!

I am 28 yrs. Old and will be married 10 yrs. In Oct. My husband and I made the promise to each other that on our 10 yr. Anniversary we would have a small ceremony since we didnt get to have a wedding. We were going to Cancun in Oct. And had planned to do it there, but plans have changed and we are going at the end of Aug. Is it ok to renew your vowls early or is it necessary to do it on the day you were married. The other thing that is bothering me is we have a 9yr. Old boy and a 14 month old girl and I would love for them to be there but they are not going on the trip with us, and I feel so guilty! What can I do? It is the perfect place to renew our vowls, and my best friend since high school will be there with me and his best friend since childhood will be there with him. I am desperatly needing advice on rather this is a good time to do this or if I should wait until our family can be there. Anyone with any suggestions please help me it will be greatly appreciated. Please hurry I am running out of time!!!
