Painted Aisle Runner

My daughter saw a picture of a hand painted aisle runner that said "And they lived happily ever after". I am trying to find a picture or description on something similar.

Maybe it`s too late for you....I saw the same photo. It`s in a magazine I have, named WeddingStyle. The company website is Aisleart.com.

I know of another company that makes hand painted runners called The Original Runner Company. I think they also make printed fabric runners that are mush cheaper than the painted ones. Someone gave me the website as www.originalrunners.com
I`m going to check it out for my own wedding next week. Good luck.

I looked at The Original Runner Company website and it was great! I loved the printed runners and the non-slip backing, I have never seen this idea before. It really is Original!

If a personalized aisle runner is what you want but are on a tight budget, get creative (or round up your creative friends). You can find some great fabrics in the clearance sections of your local fabric store. Whether it`s painted on, hand or machine sewn, you can make a beautiful runner with that meaningful saying. Try it...for the small amount of money and the bit of time & effort, you just might be surprised as to what you can come up with. Just remember to inform yourself about what fabrics are best suited for paint, if that is the root you are going...and have fun with it!

The "And they lived happily ever after" runner was created for a wedding on TLC`s reality show FOR BETTER OR WORSE. I can`t remember what they used though. Good luck, and let us know what you come up with.

I am wanting to do a painted aisle runner. I am very artistic and creative and have done other painted items. I am wondering what kind of paint to use. Do you use medium, etc. Like you do on t-shirts. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

In response to the above post, I just used paint that is suitable for porous surfaces such as wood. I got it at Michaels. (craft store)

Nicole,
Do you use stencils of some kind? This will be my first artistic venture for the wedding, and I`m not sure what I am doing. I`ve decided that if I can`t do it I am going to just buy one from original runners, but I thought I would give it a go! Do these work well on grass? Do you use a special fabric? I need all the help I can get!!!

Carri,

No, I don`t use stencils. I do some freehand; for some I just print out the words and place them under the runner and trace.

Heels can get caught in certain runners on grass. I use an aisle runner made from a cloth-like material, similar to a dryer sheet. It all depends on how much $$ you want to spend! The one I did above was a fraction of the price of some other sites I`ve seen!

I am trying to help plan my friends cousin wedding it is so crazy they have tarted calling me "the wedding planer" but i thought it was pretty. And shows a vivid pic of it. If you buy a wite one or whatever color she wants i think that you can get in monogramed from someone that does that in your area and it will be ceaper but it is a very pretty print and congratulations.

Nicole,

Are you willing to make the runners for others? If so, what is your price. I thought your runner was very nice. Please respond
