Calla Lily Advice, PLEASE! Real Vs. Silk?

My wedding is in October 2007. I want Calla lilies to be my main flower. I can`t decide if I want real or silk flowers. Can anyone tell me success, or horror stories about using either silk or real flowers? Especially calla lilies. From pics I have seen, the callas tend to wilt. Mostly along the edges. Can anyone comment on this? Thank you very much! Gwen

I have been in the floral business for 10 plus years -

MINI calla lilies tend to hold up much better than the big standard size calla lilies.

Fresh calla lilies are more expensive and are a sensitive flower. They can stain fabric as well. They also get brown spots on them easy.

HONESTLY - the LATEX calla lilies look and feel real - and would go if you decided to mix them with fresh flowers or silk ! They look so real nobody will tell the difference.

And they keep forever.

Thank you so much for your reply! It was great to get a feedback from someone who is impartial. The girls who want my business have all these arguments for real or latex. Thanks again!
