I got married in Jamaica in january, my suggestion is something VERY light, otherwise you will be a sweaty pile of mess.And another thing, it is really breezy there so keep that in mind when planning on how to wear your hair, viel length and, etc. I don`t know how soon u r getting married once you get there, but another suggestion is waiting and buying one there, they r very reasonably priced and location appropriate. After searching the web for hours, I found a dress that I thought may work for all of us searching for something appropriate for a tropical wedding. I ended up finding a dress meeting her description at a bridal shop in there informal section. It has spaghetti straps, made of chiffan and sheer. It will actually be pretty comfortable I think because it is light weight. (davidsbridal) The price is not to bad especially if you catch there sales.
