Monique Lhuillier “Secret” Dress For Sale!

I have a beautiful size 8 Monique L’Huillier wedding gown for sale. The style is "Secret" from the Spring 2004 collection. It is a white, silk satin V-neck trumpet style with shoulder straps. It gives an hourglass illusion and has a flowing train that converts into a french bustle (at the back of the knees). The fabric is truly amazing and the dress is beautiful, simple and elegant.

This gown was worn once for my wedding in late 2004 and was immediately professionally cleaned/preserved. It is a gorgeous couture gown with an incredible fit and so comfortable. This size 8 is very close to a 6 women`s street clothes size. Approximate measurements are: Bust: 34.5 Waist: 28.5 Hips: 38.5. I am a 34C cup and there is plenty of room in the bust. The size can be altered 1-2 sizes up or down. The length is around 5` 9". I made alterations to the length and hip areas. The dress is made of gorgeous satin and is medium weight, so it would be ideal for any type of wedding.

This gown is in good condition. I had an outdoor wedding, so on the back bottom of the hem there are some markings from the ground. Most of this you cannot see unless you were to lift up the skirt of the dress, but there are some markings on the outside. If you are under 5’5” and have this hemmed off then it is probably a non-issue. And there are a couple of difficult to detect pulls on the silk, but they are not very noticeable. Minor repairs will need to be made to one of the ties for the French bustle (which was added by my excellent seamstress), which are on the underside of the dress. Otherwise, this is a beautiful gown.

The retail price was $2850. I would ideally like to receive $1500 for the dress. However, I will consider all reasonable offers.
