Wedding Present

My husband and I were invited to a wedding of a distent friend. I feel that giving $150.00 is appropiate.My husband feels that the amount should be either $100 or $200,not something in the middle . I feel that you give what you can aford. Just want to know what your thought is. Thanks

I don`t see anything wrong with $150. As a matter of fact, I think that is very generous for a distant friend. We just sat through a very long (3 hours) presentation to engaged couples where they quoted that the average wedding gift is under $100 unless you are very close to the couple.
