Re: Inderal For Red Blotchy Neck

Hi everyone,

I have the same problem. It seems like this condition is getting worse with age. I thought as I got older and more confident it would magically disappear. I was definitely wrong. I want to go places and do things without worrying about my red blotchy neck. I want to get in my hot car and not become blotchy.

I wear turtlenecks all the time. I live in Florida and in the summer I sweat to death. I have to cover up because the more people stare at me or notice, the more blotchier I get. I am fed up with hiding and I have no one really to talk to because no one I come in contact with has it. So, I am stuck being me (blotchy here, blotchy there, blotchy everywhere).

My condition is associated with social anxiety, but it is even beyond that because heat, alcohol, hanging upside down, cleaning the tub, sex, being put on the spot and much more make me red and blotchy. I have noticed that it just used to be on my neck, now I get blotchy on my cheeks, around and under my chin, and on my chest and shoulders. Pretty soon my turtlenecks won`t even be enough, I will have to start wearing body paint and join the circus!

I have tried breathing exercises and it does help a little, but I have to breathe in deep and long and then I feel light headed. I just want it all to stop, as soon as possible.

Thanks for sharing and listening!
