Can`t Afford My Wedding

Hi, My story is a little like the lady explained in a summary On website. I was thinking about making a poster and standing on a corner with it ;and it would read. Please donate to my wedding thank you god bless. Do you think that would be tacky?

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!? If you have to ask if that is tacky, then that means it is at the top of the Tacky list. I cannot believe that anyone would ask such a question. While you are at it, why not have your fiance dress as a street person and hold out a cup for change. Why not have the flower girl sell flowers from door to door for $1?

I hate to be so very upset over this but I think you would do much better to ask for sponsors from businesses that you have purchased from in the past. I just think that the sign thing is beyond tacky.

Why does a wedding always have to be about spending a lot of money? My wedding was absolutely beautiful and cost -0-!! We got married in Laguna (not in the expensive gazebo) but next to it on the grass! The timing was perfect and we had a beautiful sunset in the background of our wedding photos which mostly were taken by a nice stranger walking by! It was a wonderful experience and we had a great dinner afterwards (which everyone paid for themselves). They came to celebrate with us, not for the free booze, food and live band!! Get your priorities straight and concentrate on the marriage which will last for a lot longer than the wedding!!!
When it is over, you will be very happy that your finances are still intact and if you are truly in love, you will be completely satisfied with the fact that the purpose was served. You are married!!
Good luck!!
