I am having beach wedding myself. Check out some Hawaiian sites for authentic Hawaiian wedding dresses. The guys could wear either shorts with Hawiian shirts or tuxes. My sister and her husband got married in Maui on the beach. She wore a tea length wedding gown and a ring of flowers on her head. He wore satin or silk type tux.Check with the tux places on this type. Both were barefoot. Some of their wedding photos consisted of surfers standing on either side doing the "hang loose" sign. They sent out announcements afterwards tht said "Just Maui`d" since they got married in Maui.

Hi,
I am also getting married on the beach in June. I was having the same troubles but things are finally coming together. I`ve been pulling ideas from here and there. I found a site that has pictures of other beach weddings this gave me ideas on what everyone should wear. The site is: http://www beachsidebride.com I am wearing a very simple bridesmaid dress and my fiance is wearing a long sleeved button down white shirt with kakis. We are having only a best man and maid of honor. She is wearing a long sleeveless hawiian dress that is made of the same fabric as the best mans hawiian shirt. He is also wearing kakis. I found these on helo hatties web site.
I hope this helps. Good luck

Beach weddings are so romantic and since they are becoming more popular, it is easy to find a wide assortment of wedding products with a beach theme. This includes favors. One of the best favor ideas, in my opinion, is a small photo album where your guests can store pictures from your wedding or their trip (if it is a destination wedding).

Daisy Days offers a wide selection of beach wedding themed products. Our most popular collection features real starfish. We also have hundreds of beach themed favors - from cookie cutters and bottle stoppers to candles and personalized margarita mix.

I would love to help you find more ideas. Please feel free to visit our website, www.daisy-days.com, or contact me at info@daisy-days.com.

Hello,
I`m having a beach wedding on June 30th :-). Here is what I`m doing so far:
-My dress is the Maggie Sottero Zoe..which is strapless and chiffon...very light and cool.

-The bridesmaids are wearing the David`s Bridal style 81372 in clover. The dresses are white chiffon w/ either black, lavender, or clover flowers on them. They come to the knees. They are wearing white bamboo flip flops w/ their dresses and a shell necklace. It looks really cool

-The groomsmen are wearing a white long sleeve shirt w/ the sleeves rolled up and khaki pants from the Gap. For part of their gifts, we got them their sandals (from Target) and a matching belt.

-We only have a ringbearer. He is wearing khaki shorts and a short sleeved white button down shirt. Instead of a pillow, he is carrying half a clam shell w/ ribbon matching the wedding colors glued to it. I`m tying FAKE rings to this...since he is only two, eek! It looks really cute.

-The photography and ceremony decor is all through beachsideceremonies.com...which is funny b/c someone mentioned them earlier, haha.

-for the favors (my favorite part) I purchased white tin pails off of ebay (by far the best deal I could find) and I`m filling them up w/ Fralinger`s Salt Water Taffy :-). I`m putting the pails at each place setting, and they will have a tag tied to the handle w/ the guests name on them.

-I purchased all of my stationary from www.lcipapercompany.com and took them to a printer. They turned out very nicely and were exactly what I wanted!!! I saved so much money on my invitations!! Which is a good thing, now that postage has gone up, eek.

-I`m using bubble bowls for my centerpieces. They are filled 1/4 w/ sand. I placed a short pillar candle (from the dollar tree) in the center and then decorated it w/ a few shells around the edge. I live on the beach...so the sand and the shells are free.

-To add color to the tables, there will be a clover table runner.

If you want to ask me anything else or need any more ideas...my email is dd_twinkletoes@yahoo.com. Weddings are hard (but fun) to plan, and I would love to help anyone who needed it!!! Good luck, and remember to enjoy it :-).

There are so many kinds of beach weddings. Some are more east coasty/nautical and some are more tropical.

With the latter you tend to see a lot of riotous colors, exotic orchids, community food like pig roasts, pineapple and coconut flavors, etc.

With the nautical style you might see more preppy colors and patterns (navy stripes), cottage flowers (hydrangeas, rununculous), a streamlined, simple gown design, clambakes, etc.

Both are completely lovely but really different, so what kind did you have in mind?

The locals in Hawai`i use pikake leis for the bride and maile for the men.

You could also learn a wedding hula, which is a popular local tradition. The bride dances hula as a surprise for the groom and as a thank you to her guests and parents. Recently, the trend has been for the bride and groom to dance a hula together.

You can visit http://www.WannaHula.com for instructional wedding hula DVD`s.
