FONDANT HELP

It can be done with a dab of royal icing, first to the cake then the ribbon, then the second ribbon edge. I`ve also used a sewing pin, or corsage pin with a pearl on the end. Stick it straight into the ribbon and cake together. I once made a cake for a bride who had these pearl heads scattered along the wide ribbon band she had me use. At first I was skepical, but it looked quite elegant. Of course, we had to make sure they all came out with the ribbon when we cut the cake.
