What Time Of Day For Winter Wedding??

I`m getting married December 4, 2004 and I live in Nebraska. We are trying to figure out what time of day to have the wedding and are having LOTS of trouble. We want to have the reception/dance, but we are worried about people driving if bad weather occurs. Please if you have any ideas let me know. The church is not even a block from where the reception would be held if that helps.
Thanks,
Amanda

I would think that during the winter, you might want to have the wedding earlier in the day to get the warmest weather (like 1pm or so), but if the weather is bad, the weather is bad, there`s not much you can do about that. You could try having a shuttle to transport people so they don`t have to drive.

I am getting married in the fall and my fiance and I are having an evening wedding. Because your wedding is in the winter, it would probably be dark out by 6:00 pm. If you put candles up in the church it makes for an extremely elegant look (especiallly when it`s dark outside).

I`m getting married on the same date, same year. I know that it`s better to do it early around 1 - 2h00.
