All We Want Is To Have A Big Party!!!!!
My fiance and I have changed our minds 3 times about the type of wedding to have. We are on a tight budget and decided to have a church wedding then a casual party afterwards. We are planning around 75 people and I don`t know where to begin? I am considering doing the food and decorations and having at his parents. Am I crazy?

That`s a great idea. Alot of bride`s get tied up in the details of formality and end up not having what they want. If all you want is something casual and fun, then do it. My cousin had casual a pig roast for her reception. The wedding was formal. They guys wore tuxedos, she had a formal gown, and the bridemaids had matching dresses, but the guests were asked to dress casual and the wedding party changed at the reception into shorts as well. The reception was on my grandparent`s front lawn (they have 17 acres of land) with a tent, a pig roast the another cousin took charge of and a few kegs of beer. It sprinkled all evening, but it was one of the best wedding`s I`ve ever been too. We played volleyball, kickball with the kids, and people partied well into the morning.

I would love to do exactly what you just described. But, I live in a deed restricted negihborhood. Where in the world could I find a pig, and have a roast? Any ideas?

We`re having a very casual BBQ at my Aunt`s house in the suburbs (the justice of the peace is wearing blue jeans). We`re just going to grill some burgers and ribs in the backyard (it`s only slightly larger than the average backyard, and most of it is covered with a deck). The guests (60 total) have been instructed to bring their own beer/alcohol to save some money (we`re on a VERY tight budget). I asked my cousins to bring their guitars and drums for music and I got lucky when a friend said he would DJ for free for a few hours. Decorations will be limited to a few flowers and small white lights draped on anything that will stand still. So far we`ve kept the cost of the reception down to about $150. It`ll be about $100 to feed everyone (including supplies) and roughly $50 for several bunches of silk flowers. We`re just using our old christmas tree lights for the rest....
