Father Passed Away...what About Dance?
My father passed away when I was a baby and my stepfather passed away when I was 10. I am getting married and my uncle is gracious enough to walk me down the aisle. What do I do for the traditional father/daughter dance??? Grandparents are not an option either.

If your uncle can`t do it, you can substitute for something else. I had the Praise & Worship team from my church to do a Memorial dance in his honor and I lit a memorial candle that had his picture on it. I lit that with my mother. Also, my girlfriend had a Power point presentation with a really nice song (I believe it was Dance with my father) and it had pictures of them when she was born, growing up and it was really nice. I felt she included him nicely.

I Will say that your Uncle will really be happy to do this, but if you have a brother either younger and older, then you can ask them to represent your dad(s) and use a moment or few minutes to honor his passing

My father had also passed when I was young... My brother walked me down the aisle but then I danced with both of my grandfathers during the father-daughter dance. They were both very teary eyed and honored that I did this. I danced with my dad`s dad first, to part of one song, then with the other to another song. There wasn`t a dry eye in the place...
