Canadian Marrying An American

Hi everyone, I was wondering if someone could help me? I am a Canadian Citizen and my fiance is an American Citizen. We plan to marry and I want to relocate to the United States. If I marry him in the US, what papers do I need to file in order to be able to legally work there? Will I be automatically approved for a Green Card, simply because we are married? Thanks!
