Wedding Gowns
My cousin rented her gown since it was just a one day event that she knew she wasn`t going to wear the gown again, she decided to rent it for $150 and the gown was really nice.
The Reception
We used a firehouse. They have a beautiful banquet hall and included the bartender, ice and all the sodas in the cost $1200 and she received $300 back when they saw that she didn`t leave the place a mess. She had it catered by a local Culinary school and they also did her wedding cake, she had really nice paper plates from oriental trading in their wedding section they have a lot of cheap things and they have nice discounts, you can even do a cupcake tree and just have a small top tier cake for you to save for your first anniversary.
Photography
For this, we found a student at the Photography school who did a wonderful job, the pictures were printed for free and the student received a grade, she paid the student $200 for her time and the same for the Videographer, they both received great referral letters as well from my cousin).
Invitations / Stationery
We went to AC Moore and got her invitations when they had a 50% coupon and I purchased 1 box of 25 with one coupon and she purchased another with another coupon so the invitations were $30 and had her picture on it and I found a nice poem and the wording online and printed them out at work with my Boss` okay
Miscellaneous
We bought wholesale flowers, Buy plain gold or white gold wedding bands as these are the cheapest. She used my Aunt’s Lincoln, it was white and my Aunt drove them around and decorated the car.
If you belong to a Church, your wedding is taken care of, you can decorate the church yourself with flowers, candles and items from the dollar store. You can have a nice expensive looking wedding for $5000 to $10,000.
