Memory Poem

I would like a poem to read at my wedding, as I light a candle in memory of my mother, nothing extremly sad though. I tried to start one, but I think it sounds corny. I`ll write it for you and maybe you can make sense of it.
Today I light this candle
And hope that you can see

Today I`m getting married,
And I wish you were here with me

Today this candle represents,
The life we used to share

Today we will remember you
And hope that you are here

Today on my wedding day
I want to remember you

To keep you close and in our hearts
With often thought of you

I don`t know it all sound so corny, can you help me
