Summer Outdoor Wedding Ideas??
Hello, I just got engaged New years eve and am planning my wedding for August 1! Some close friends of ours were just married last year and we will be inviting many of the same people. I had an outdoor wedding in August of last year, we held it at my husband`s parents thoroughbred horse farm, it was a traditional southern wedding. My girls and I handmade all of the favors, since it was outside we made large seed packets and monogrammed them and had bird seed inside, we also handmade large cones and filled them with fresh rose petals to throw after the ceremony. We rented a HUGE tent and had the receiption right there next to the upper arena (horse pasture). (We did have a company come out 2 days before and clean it up, the smell wouldn`t have been very attractive, they also planted some fresh honeysuckle right outside the tent to give the inside a sweet smell.). My friend told me about this other company because I wanted TONS of flowers and I ordered them through their online floral company (wholesale), it saved me like around $600.00! I got way more than I ever imagined for the money! If you want the name of the company, it was Bridal Bouquets, the website had a funny name I can`t remember it, but I do remember the email address (it happened to be my sister`s name only spelled a little different! it was sarabradshaw1206@juno.com. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone planning a wedding, they can save you aTON!!!! I check back now and then to see if I can be of any more help.

Thank you for the tips!! I will definitely check out the flower website!! I am also having my wedding at my parents farm...where they raise horses and texas longhorne cattle!!!

I am also having an outdoor wedding...It is april 17th. It is at my fiance`s parents house who use to own a thoroughbred farm. I know your wedding is already passed, but I thought you could give me some ideas. I am filled with anxiety about planning this massive event. How did you get through it? I am concerned if it rains. I don`t know what I am thinking, outdoor wedding in april??? AAAHHH! There will be a tent, but how do I get to the tent without getting wet. There is so much to consider. I need some advise.
