Enchanted Forest Wedding And Reception
I am planning a wedding and reception in the same indoor banquet hall. We have an enchanted forest theme in mind, with huge trees, hanging candles, tons of twinkling lights. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make this happen indoors?

Borrow , rent or buy a lot of those Fake potted trees. Depending on how big the room is, you could hang a lot of ivy garland across the ceiling. This would make it seem more enclosed. Add white christmas lights.
Another idea is to have someone make you an arbor using latice work. Make several large ones to put throughout the room. Weave ivy or leafy garland through them along with the white lights. Add a few fowers, birds ( fake of course ) maybe some pixie dust ( glitter ) and a pixie or two.
If the room has a lot of natural lighting, have the wedding at night . See if it`s possible to have the lighting dimmed to create the "forest" so to speak.
A water feature or several throught the room would be great also.
For the actual wedding, I would use one of the arbors or just gather several "trees" together as the backdrop.
Hope this helps!

I`ve been dreaming about an indoor forest wedding and I am very excited to know about the outcome of Kristens wedding. Or also if anyone has any tips or advice for me? I am crafty and will make anything in order to save money. The wedding would take place in the winter. Thank you, Patty

Hello,
Water fountains are a great feature to add, rental places alot of times do have these. As for trees.. Hhmmm A local nursery or gardens may be about to help you out with is. Some florist may be about to rent plants out to you also. Not sure where you are at, check with the place that you are having the reception at also, they may be able to help you out. White little lights will look good in some of the trees also. There is tons of things that you could do to get it the way you want.. Just depends on what you have open to you.

Hello,, I have also been brain storming about an enhanted forest theme for my wedding as well. I`m going to have two types of centerpieces. My floral`s will have Branches in the arrangment that are spayed with just enough glitter for them sparkle in the light. The others are Groups of candles all different sizes with loose rhinestones sprinkled around. A few twigs between the candles. I`ve also seen where the put a grid in the celing and hung ivy. If you can;t do that there are lots of hanging greenary that you can get to hang from the head table or the bar instead of that looped fabric most people have. Also Moss is really cheap and if you add it to the bottom of candle holders ect. Its a simple way to get the forrest feel. In a variety of places. Also pick a color that pops against the natural forest colors. Mine is a burnt orange color and for favors I`m going to have, Candy, carmel and choclate apples tied with ribbon.(fall wedding) But reds or purples would add beautiful dememtion. They also have candles that look like logs or have bark on the outside. Another thing I am doing is to bing fire inside. You could get those small out door fire places from wallmart and fill them with candles.and twigs on the bottom to look like a fire. Laterns would also be great for that. GOOD LUCK and have fun

So glad to see that i am not the only one with a great imagionation. Here are somethings i am going to do for my enchanted forest theme: my favors are tiny flower pots painted in my colors and filled with flower seeds. I am going to have one corner of the reception hall decorated with an arch, a bench, large fountain and figurines *this will be a great spot for photo oppertunities* my centerpeices are LED crystal lights with unicorns, fairies, elves, dragons anything mystical that i can find (about $6.00 each) i am ordering some fairy posters from ebay to hang on the wall and some greenery in certian places nothing over board. It will be candle lit and romantic.. Oh and i am going to have kind of celtic music playing as we walk into our dance reception... Oh there are too many little details to list them all on here.... But maybe someone can use one of my ideas... Congratulations to everyone and great theme idea!!!

Hi! I`m having an Enchanted Forest themed wedding in June and love a lot of the ideas on here. Thanks guys. I also wanted to add another idea my fiance and I had. Instead of a lot of candles were getting mason jars and putting individual leds set up with old watch batteries inside. Then you can either wrap the inside of the jar with paper to hide the batteries or hang the lights with wires from the batteries taped to the jar lid. This way it will look like you have fireflies( or faires- your pick) in jars on every table. You can also hang these( or mini candles) from branches like you would white christmas lights.
