Wedding Color Ideas

I have been appointed of helping a friend of mine by deciding what colors she should use in her wedding. What do you think about the colors Red, peach, ivory and green together. I was thinking that the bride (who will be wearing a white gown) could carry red roses, the brides maids could wear red gowns (they will have their choice of gown style... For example: they can choose a two peice gown or one piece gown, however they will all be made the same shade and fabric). They will carry ivory bouquets. The men will be wearing dark green accents. The chape itself will be decorated with lush, dark green ferns, red and peach roses and ivory satin ribbons. Does this idea sound appealing and does anybody see any problems. I would love to have your input and thoughts on this situation. Thanks.

I was just looking on this site for outdoor wedding ideas when I came by your posting. Your ideas sound good to me. I especially like the fact that the bridesmaids will be wearing a style dress that is most suitable for thier body type. Here are just a few thoughts I had conserning the colors. Have you thought at all about the brides dress clashing with the ivory (depending on how much is used). I don`t have any problems with peach and red but have you actually seen the colors together to make sure they work? A visual can be a big help when chosing colors. Also, have you thought at all about having the peach incorporated in with other things as well? I`ve assisted several friends with thier weddings and have been married myself. If you are having difficulties visioning certain colors together maybe you could look though flower/bridal magazines. I`ve gotten tons of ideas from them. There is always a wide variety of colors to fit different situations and you can see beforehand that the colors work well together. If you could find a couple of pictures of flower groupings that work well together, you could show them to the bride and let her select her favorite. I don`t know why she doesn`t pick the colors out, but I imagine as with all brides she is probably pretty overwhelmed. Maybe by narrowing the selection down, she would be able to pick her favorite.....Believe me, you do not want to be left holding the bag if she hates the end results. Best of luck.
