Tea Length Wedding Gown
Is tea length not the style these days? Don`t want a formal length wedding gown and I don`t want to spend an arm and a leg. Would like short sleeved, ivory colored, tea length, sized 20-22. Possibly something in lace. Have two months before my wedding in March. Please help!!!

I am looking for just the same. Short length is out and I have been told that you won`t find it. The only way to get this dress is to sew it your self. Bridal companies don`t like the short tea length because they can`t charge an arm and leg, and it is to casual. Good luck on your search, and if you find one, let me know where so i can look in the same direction.

Brenda, I gave up going the traditional route for the tea length gown and decided to check out Sears Online. I found a tea length embroidered georgette empire waist dress for $54.99. I ordered it in Ivory and when it arrived it was everything I was looking for. So I have the wedding look without the wedding price. I think it`s called Vintage Embroidered Dress on the website. Good Luck in your search. I hope you find something to make you happy like I did!!!

Hey Bren, The website I went to for Sears is: www.searswomansview.com. Go to dresses or special occasion dresses. I just went there and didn`t see the dress I bought but I`m sure you can find something. Good luck in your search. I know how frustrating it can be to find the right dress!! One more week from next Monday and we will be in Vegas gettin` hitched!!!!

Good luck to you! We are thinking of going the Vegas route as well. They have interesting wedding packages there. My Fiance` is very interested in the one that you take the Hilocopter to a ferry, then to an Island wedding, then a nice dinner for up to 8 then the finally, an hour tour of the night time skies in Vegas. As for the dress, my fiance` said he was going to sketch it, and I guess I will be sewing the thing...

Oh my gosh What have I gotten myself into. Like at first I was all into the normal long wedding gown until I saw the cutest tea length prom dress while shopping with my mom. She said she`d think I`d look better in a short length dress to accent my legs and I couldn`t agree with her more. Now I am exactly going thru the hard to find wedding gowns in tea length. Has anyone found a location that carries them on a regular basis. My weddings next June. Thanks

I have been scouring the web for tea length dresses (and driving my fiance nuts by hogging the computer) and have had the best luck with searching fifties style dresses. Most of the dresses i"ve come across are reasonably priced (starting around $60) on the more expensive side I found some really pretty ones @ Davids Bridal.com. Our wedding is in September so I`m gonna keep hunting!!! good luck and congrats to all you other brides to be!
