Wedding Dress Color

I have found the dress of my dreams! But, it has navy blue trim around the top of the bust and the hem of the skirt. I am a virgin and I was wondering, does the coloring indicate anything at all? Please let me know so I can help my mother see that it doesnt mean what she thinks it means.
