Wedding Invitation/Reception Need Help

I am having a small private wedding with family but immediately following a large reception. This is my fiance`s choice not mine..but it`s a second marriage for both. How do I do the invitations?? Family invited to wedding then everyone invited to the BIG reception..

I just sent out invitations for this same situation. I had to get two different invitations. One inviting people to the wedding and one to the reception. In the Wedding invitation I included reception cards and the reply card. In the reception invitation it stated that you were invited to celebrate the marriage of blah and blah following a private ceremony.
