Native American Blanket Ceremony

My fiancé and I are to be married in July 2006 and we plan on having an abbreviated version of the Native American Blanket Ceremony performed. Has anyone done this and if so, would you share your experience? I am Cherokee and Seminole. Thank you to anyone who will respond. :)
